Sarah (City Clerk, Walker MI) is looking at adding meeting audio files to her City's website. To keep cloud storage costs at a reasonable level, she is looking at crafting a policy stating how long their audio recordings will be stored on their website. Do you have a policy that addresses website storage? If so, share it with Sarah and the community by uploading a copy.
Audio / Video Recording Website Storage Policy
All of our property files are saved on our website on the Nashotah GIS system which is administered by our engineering firm. Everyone can view the files which saves them from coming in to view and me from having to access, retrieve and print copies. Also maintains the integrity of these files which must be kept permanently.
No audio recordings are currently stored on the city website.
We currently do not have audio/Video recording storage but would be interested in starting one.
We do not have an audio recording policy at this point in time
We don't have a policy. For storage, we use DropBox since it's free.
We currently do not have audio/Video recording storage but will be starting to work on same.
Our audio files are currently stored on the Cities website that our Communications Department created and manages. The public can view all our meetings in the past and live with Video on Demand.
We store on our website as well as our server. I also make CD's each quarter just in case.
I know this post may be old, but I hope this helps. We don't post the videos on our website. We do have a link for the residents to access the live videos and stored videos next to the agenda. The video link for the meeting is powered by another company called Swagit.
We don't have policy for audio / Video recordings but hope to in the future.
We do not have this policy.
I don't have a policy, but I'm really interested to see what other cities are doing with website storage files.
thank you for sharing.
